Haha sorta. A german shepard mix we are taking care of for Stray Rescue likes to play tug-o-war with the leads. I went to take him in and he grabbed the one hanging around my neck... thankfully I grabbed the loop before it closed too tight on my neck, but I still had to dig my heals into the gravel to stop him from pulling me down. I had to nearly punch him to get him to let go. So instead of fighting with him, I let him inside and thought I would just lead him to his run. But he grabbed the lead I had in my hand and wouldnt let go again, so I grabbed his neck to pull him back and he spun and bit my arm. Didnt break skin, but I got a nasty pinch bruise. Then once I actually got the lead around his neck, I had to get in his run to pull him in because he grabbed the lead that was around his neck and pulled back.
Jeeze I was ready to cry just from the stress after I FINALLY got him in. I didnt though, just went and put some ice on the bite. Deneen said she saw Michael (a playtimer) in the same situation over the weekend, playing tug-o-war with Hanley (the dog) with a lead hanging from his (michaels) neck. Only she said Michael wasnt lucky enough to grab the loop before it closed too much. Damn dog.
I think the poor thing is just getting stir crazy in the kennel. He's a german shepard, labrador mix. Big and full of energy. The kennel is no place for him to live.
Later on I bought two bags of fancy Idaho or Iowa or somestate potato chips Bradi (head groomer) gets from a family member. Two bucks a bag and they are hella good! XD |
